http://www.duzty.com/pictures/lifedrawing.gif- Yeah, I know… You’re going “What the devil is that?!?” Well, I came across something that should have been an available option online long before we artists knew we needed it constantly. After a good two to four years of life drawing, how many chances do we have in finding moments to brush up and refine those basic skills? Well thanks to this little Japanese site I came across, I may never have to worry about losing my ability to create the human form. Pose Maniacs has created a flash site, that tests your life drawing skills, from beginner to advanced. Shown only in the muscular form, these act as a simple guide to studying the human for drawing and design. These are timed poses, that give a chance to sharpen your knowledge and strengthen any weakness you may have. And of course, no artist will deny a refresher every now and again. I apologize if there is only one link on here, but you guys happen to come across another version or idea behind this smart tool, please let me know…

Mojizu | Special Announcement

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Dear Mojizu member,

The integrity of the Mojizu community is of utmost importance to us. It is inevitable that as an online community grows there will be an increasing number of abuses in various parts of the community.

At Mojizu, we are no different and several issues have come to the surface recently.  We want all Mojizu members to know that we take these issues extremely seriously. There is always the need to balance the effect of policies that govern the site to try to prevent these types of abuses while at the same time, maintaining an open creative environment.

That said, we are rolling out a series of changes effective immediately, which we believe will go a long way to eliminate abuses, both actual and perceived.

Firstly, we are re-instating the requirement that in order to vote, members must have validated their accounts through email. In addition, we are implementing a few other steps (which we do not want to publicize) which will also work to help prevent phantom accounts and help us ensure that votes are from valid members and that individuals only vote once in competitions.  Our system will help us identify fraudulent votes and we will back them out of the war and other competitions.

We also have an aggressive policy of canceling memberships of any individuals who do not participate in a manner conducive to the spirit of the site.  We encourage everyone to report abuses and we do take ALL such reports seriously and act promptly.

We continue to attract amazing talent to the site, and are pleased that we are able to promote this talent to a huge global audience.   We appreciate people’s patience as we tackle some of these unpleasant issues, and everyone’s continued engagement on the site.  With your help we will continue to make Mojizu THE place for characters on the web.

Sincerely,

Mojizu Staff
