ComingSoon.net and Walt Disney Pictures have teamed up for the “Create Your Own Character Fan Art Contest” in celebration of the release of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Disney Digital 3-D in theaters on October 20. Create a character that fits into the world of beloved film and you could win a one-sheet signed by the filmmakers, a 6-foot tall Jack Skellington theater standee, a Two-Disc Special Edition Soundtrack and the original DVD!

   Was really excited about entering this competition as I love the film, then read the rules and found out it’s ONLY for people who live in the US. Rubbish…

   Wow. Read the contest rules - The part about the exploitation rights of the sponsor of your work. You basically sign it away for life w/ unlimited usage and restrictions for them to make unlimited amounts of profit, and in return they hook you up with virtually nothing. At full retail value, it may come out to be about $100. Go Disney! haha
