Characters are everywhere and now as an attatchment for your ipod ear buds from a company calld futuronomie.com!! Emotibuds are small, whimsical adornments that slip onto the
outside of your Apple iPod earbuds, turning the digital device into a vehicle for self-expression.banner_emotibuds_17.gif
The concept and design of emotibuds draws on the ubiquitous “emoticons” of the online world and allows users to bring such conscious expression into social space. They are fashion for the idea-conscious. They are ideas for the fashion-conscious. Mostly, though, emotibuds are just weird and cool little creatures.

If you guys haven’t seen Matthew’s work, you are missing out. Matt is more than an illustrator, he is a freakin’ god. Check out his work on his site and you’ll see what i’m talking about. The vivid illustrations are almost alive on the page and even thought some of them are completely out of this world, you relate to them on the ground level.

Matt is talented, fast and focused. His work ranges from old school Sci Fi illustrations to crazy animations. On top of all this, he is one of the nicest and most humble i’ve come across in a long time.

And ofcourse don’t forget to check out his MOJI’s and MOJIZU profile!

So you can’t mistake the company with the man anymore. Paul Frank Industries doesn’t even talk about the anxiety ridden Paul on the site anymore, as if he never existed in the first place. For all that don’t know, Paul Frank Sunich was terminated months back from the company that he helped start over 10 years ago. Now Paul is going through a bunch of legal battles over how much his 33% of the company was worth. Some say he’s getting suckered, and others blame him for being naive. I’ve met the man a couple of times, he is a nice guy, he is an artist.   Read this article on drawn.

The site “Bad Design Kills” says that ” The world is steeped in bad design.  As designers we see something every day that makes us cringe or shake our heads in disgust.”  Sadly, I agree.  You can check out some great propaganda against bad design here and also stories about rip off artists ilke logoworks.com

Also you can submit and participate by putting up some of your own propaganda.

I guess you just have to pull it out and match it! Pantone colors can be tricky. I find it difficult with so many choices and uncallibrated monitors to find the colors I need. The best way I’ve found out is to pull out the book and match the darn things manually. Check out this clever photo album!
