The Good News and Bad News

Monday, July 17th, 2006

First the bad news – Mojizu has started showing ads.  Yes – we are actually a business, and in the interests of keeping the lights on, we are now showing advertising on the site. Ads will not be shown on the home page, and we trust will be displayed tastefully and in a non-intrusive manner.

Now the good news – anyone who joined Mojizu before today automatically receives a FREE one year SUPER MOJI MEMBERSHIP.  This entitles you to ad-free surfing on the site.  If you are one of these lucky early members you may be wondering why you are seeing ads – you simply need to log out and then log back in and your SUPER MOJI MEMBERSHIP will activate and the ads will disappear.

In the very near future we are going to be selling SUPER MOJI MEMBERSHIPS which entitle you to ad free viewing as well as some other goodies.  So, if you weren’t one of the first members lucky enough to get the first year’s membership free, you will, for a very small amount be able to become a SUPER MOJI MEMBER – stay tuned.

Thanks for the support.

Artist’s Stats Go Live

Monday, July 10th, 2006

Pleased to announce we have completed the Artists Earnings Stat Page. This is the member’s individual reporting section that shows how much you have earned on Mojizu through the sale of merchandise tied to your Moji.

To access your earnings report, you must be logged in. Then click on the “My Account” link and then click on the “MY EARNINGS” tab. The Merchandise commission amount is the total amount you have earned and these are reported in real time. Earnings are not available until 30 days after the sale to give us time to adjust for credits, returns etc, etc…, so the “Available” amount is what you actually can get your hands on.

Currently you can have any available amount credited to your Paypal account, or if you want a check mailed to you, you must have at least $25 available. To request payout, simply select the payment method from the drop down and then enter the requested information (your Paypal account or address). Your “Last Payout” shows the amount sent in your last payout.

We are working on 2 detailed reports that you will also be able to run from this screen. The first will list each transaction that generated revenue for you, showing the Moji, item, sales Date, sales amount and other pertinent information. The other report will show a history of your earnings and withdrawals.

Up until this point, all earnings would have been from the sale of T-shirts and other apparel from the MojiShop. Mojizu is actively developing several exciting revenue generating streams, including MojiMobile, where people will be able to buy Mojis and upload them to their cell phones. This Mobile portal will be launching within the next 4-6 weeks.

We are also eager to hear your ideas for further marketing Mojis and generating more revenue for artists through our growing community – so keep the ideas coming.
