SpeedRate - New Feature

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

This was one heavily requested – we have added a link, called SpeedRate that will queue up for you all of the new Moji’s you have not yet rated. Click on the SpeedRate button below the nav bar, and then rate the Mojis – you will be taken to the next unrated Moji after each vote. It’s a great way to get caught up on your voting when you get to the site, especially if you don’t remember if you rated all the Mojis on your previous visits or not.

In SpeedRate mode you do not get to see the score that a Moji received and you cant go back and forward – when you apply your rating, you will be shown the next Moji – hence the “speediness”. So remember to add your comments before you vote. You can always still rate Mojis and page back and forth through them as before by opening an individual Moji.

Mojizu Adds Personal Blogs

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Today we start allowing Mojizu members to set up individual blogs tied to their artist’s profiles.  This will replace the artist’s journal feature that was in place.  You can access your blog by clicking on the “My Blog: link on the personal navigation or from within your artists profile.  From here you can manage subscriptions, preferred readers, compose a new blog.

Among the features of our tool are:

- HTML blog editor allows you to insert images, rich text, hyperlinks and also edit and remove blog postings. Also draft blogs allows you to save a blog to be finished and posted at a later time.

- RSS feeds

- Subscriptions (you can subscribe to another users blog and it will notify you on your subscription page when they post.  That user will also have you listed in their readers section)

- Preferred lists (acts as a favorites manager for blogs)

- Customize (Lets you change some colors, fonts and had a name header)

- Comments and kudos system (users can comment on blog and leave a kudos)

- Blog categories (users can browse all blogs under a certain category)

- Privacy (allow your blogs to be viewed by anyone or just people on your friends or preferred list)

When viewing someone’s profile you will see the My Blog button under the contact artist box where you can view their blog. From here you can also view their RSS feed and subscribe to their blog.  We plan on keeping the content that you may have entered in your personal journal for the next 45 days, after which we will remove it – so please take this time to copy over anything you want to keep from your journal to your blog.

We think this is good robust tool that Mojizu members will find useful and will strengthen our community.  Feel free to use it as your personal blog and link to it freely.

We will shortly add some help/FAQ’s relating to the artists blog – so don’t despair if you can’t figure it out on your own.

Mojiwar is now live!

Thursday, May 4th, 2006

MojiWar is now live! We think this is a really cool new feature, so we are eager to get your feedback and comments.

MojiWar is a perpetual competition which draws on all of the Moji’s submitted to the site.  The most popular Mojis move up the rankings from Fresh to Hot and then into the War, where they are matched in indivudal face-off’s.  Each week the wiiners advance to the next round.

Click here to learn how the MojiWar works - as well as to understand how Mojis get selected for the Hot section of the site.

The War updates every Monday, but we wanted to get the first round up today (becuase we could) - so the first round will run for 10 days instead of 7, from today through Monday May 15th.  Due to the nature of the competition, we wont have our first Moji Champ for 4 weeks - but you can get started on voting for the first round face-offs now - and then vote on the MojiWar every week.

Artists will be messaged whenever their Mojis make it into the war and advance to each new round.  If your Moji  moved from Fresh to Hot you will also be messaged (however, this function is not yet live).

Weekly MojiChamps win $100 - (which they may give to the artists that created them if they so desire) - and are invited to appear on our limited edition high quality merchandise. Moji Champs are also featured on the Mojizu home page for a week - WOW!

Have fun and as usual don’t be shy to tell us what you think.
